Introducing the ProClocks' Saw Clock, a very interesting recreated clock by ProClocks of an earlier german clock. This beautiful piece measures 30 inches long and 7 inches wide. It has a porcelain dial 3 ¾ inches in diameter with arabic numerals. The movement is a platform escapement . This amazing clock runs on its own weight. You lift the round clock portion to the top of the geared metal guide and it slowly slides down the guide using its own weight to power it. When it gets to the bottom of the metal guide, you simply lift it back to the top and it starts the process over again. There are no springs to wind. By lifting the clock to the top of the metal guide, the weight of the clock runs the clock movement, and you do not need to wind a clock spring. The case is a magnificent walnut wood finish, with exquisite carvings at the top and bottom, with gilded victorian style designs in the background. The hardware is contrasting yellow gold and nickel plating. This fabulous clock has a limited production worldwide, and is now available.
