Item Description:
This Seth Thomas Style Double Dial Calendar Clock is one for any collection! Measuring 27 inches high, this one has two dials, one with time and the other with day, date, and month! A signed Seth Thomas eight day brass movement circa 1885 powers the time and strike dial on this one. It was made in Thomaston, Connecticut sometime around 1885! The famous Geneva Stops were built into this one too! Found only in ST's finer timepieces, this feature prevents overwinding of the movement! The second movement is also brass, but is a calendar movement of later manufacture. Both reside in a later made case, identical to the original Seth Thomas Clock. There's even a key lock on the side of the case! The veneer is puckering in some places on the case. Some adjustments may be needed on the calendar movement, so we're selling this one as a complete timepiece but without any running guarantee. Get this magnificent timepiece today!
